About East Durham Local Strategic Partnership

East Durham Local Strategic Partnership

The East Durham LSP has membership that includes representatives from each of the public, private, voluntary and community sector organisations. This is crucial to the workings of the partnership as it permits involvement from a variety of viewpoints regarding the delivery of services. Individual service providers remain responsible and accountable for decisions on their own services and the use of their own resources, however the LSP can influence what and how services are delivered to reflect local wants and needs.

Membership of the LSP is open to any group who are from a public, private, voluntary or community sector organisation. It is important for you to join, as through membership you can influence the LSP and the Community Strategy. Community Strategies and LSPs are here to stay and it is expected that community participation will increase over time, both in helping to draw up the Strategy and in delivering the results.
